Walter H. Graves Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Business Management
Walter H. Graves, an avid golfer, designed and manufactured his own putter-cum-divot repair tool
LITTLE RIVER, SC, April 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Walter H. Graves, Owner of W.H. Golf LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in business management.
An avid golfer with a back problem, Walter H. Graves longed to be able to repair his ball marks on the green without having to bend over, thereby straining his back. Living embodiment of the adage, "Necessity is the mother of invention," he soon developed the Double Duty-Divot Repair Putter, a golf club that functions as both putter and divot repair tool. He now holds four patents on the club, which he has since manufactured and distributed through W.H. Golf LLC, his own manufacturing company.
Prior to going into business for himself, Mr. Graves was a veteran salesman with 20 years of experience selling textiles and 10 years selling restaurant equipment. Finally his own boss, he has been featured in a number of publications because of his invention, most notably in The Sun News in an article entitled, "Golf Innovations: Putter Made by Little River Man Conforms to United States Golf Association's Rules of Golf."
Mr. Graves completed coursework in business administration and architecture. He is a member of The Elks Club. Within the next five years, he hopes to market his Divot Repair Putter to golfers and golf clubs nationwide.
USGA-approved, the Double Duty-Divot Repair Putter may be used by both right- and left-handed players. For more information, visit http://www.DivotRepairPutter.com.
