H. Renton Laidlaw is a Recognized Expert in Broadcasting and Journalism
H. Renton Laidlaw celebrates over 52 years as a professional golf commentator
LONDON, UK, October 07, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- H. Renton Laidlaw, Journalist, Golf Commentator and Writer for PGA European Tour Productions and the Golf Channel, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in broadcasting and journalism.
For the past 52 years, H. Renton Laidlaw has been a trusted voice in the United Kingdom's golf broadcasting arena. He currently lends his talents to the Golf Channel where he is primarily responsible for commenting on PGA tournaments around the world. Over the course of his extensive career, Mr. Laidlaw has penned 12 books including the annual "R&A Golfer's Handbook," "The European Open Golf Championship: The First Ten Years" and "Captain at Kiawah."
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his field, Mr. Laidlaw was honored with the Jack Nicklaus Memorial Award as well as the Lifetime Journalist Achievement Award by the PGA of America. During an exclusive interview with a representative from Cambridge Publishing, Mr. Laidlaw credited his interest in writing to his career choice. He attributes his success in journalism to hard work and looks forward to continue covering PGA tours in the coming years.
Mr. Laidlaw is the president of the Association of Golf Writers. In his free time, he enjoys attending the theatre, watching movies, and of course, playing golf.
