Inaugural Golf Tournament to Benefit "Links to Education" Charity
Cottonwood Golf Club will host APS Foundation Event on Saturday, August 14

EL CAJON, CA, August 14, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Golfers are invited to take part in the inaugural "Andy Paul Sanchez Links to Education" tournament at Cottonwood Golf Club in El Cajon on Saturday, August 14, 2010. Proceeds will fund the APS Foundation which supports the continuation of young student athletes in South San Diego County.

Andy Paul Sanchez was an educator and coach for many years before his death in 2009. Family and friends formed the APS Foundation in his memory. The golf tournament is being held on his favorite course, Ivanhoe, where a plaque with Andy Sanchez's name has been added to the Memorial Garden at the 14th Hole tee box.

The cost to enter the tournament is $150 per golfer and includes the green fee, cart fee, driving range balls, drink tickets, souvenir bag, box lunch, and dinner. Several contests will be held during the tournament including: closest to the pin, long drive, and beat the pro. The event will also feature silent and live auctions.
