AsiaRooms.com - Enjoy a Spot of Golf on a Visit to Siem Reap
Those who enjoy teeing off can make the most of one of Siem Reap's golf courses while staying in the area.
SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA, June 01, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People staying in Siem Reap hotels may want to find themselves other activities after they have seen the sights such as Angkor Wat.
An international golf tournament which took place at one of the city's courses earlier this month could provide inspiration to those visiting Siem Reap.
The Angkor Golf Resort played host to the second annual FCC Nation's Cup on May 8th and 9th, the Phnom Penh Post reported.
And while the competitors in this tournament may have packed up their clubs, others travelling to the region will still find that they can enjoy all the course has to offer.
The walk-in green fee for the full 18-hole course stands at $115 (GBP78.97), while a cheaper option of playing just nine holes is also available.
For groups that include both avid golfers and those who would rather spend their time away from the fairway, there are plenty of sights nearby to keep non-golfers amused.
Among them are the Cambodian Cultural Village, the Old Market and the centre of Siem Reap.
People who want to plan their trip to Siem Reap to coincide with a future golf tournament in which they can participate should consider booking flights to Cambodia in August.
At the beginning of the month, the second annual Angkor Amateur Open will be taking place at the course.
