The Chiang Mai Golf Festival is entering its final month.

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND, May 28, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People who enjoy taking to the green for a friendly round of golf during their breaks away from home may want to book Chiang Mai hotels during June to take advantage of the final month of the Chiang Mai Golf Festival.

Having kicked off at the beginning of May, the event will run until June 30th, offering locals and visitors alike a chance to play on 12 different courses.

Anyone who wants to tee off at one of the clubs involved just has to pay 800 Thai baht (GBP17) per day to visit one or more of the 12 greens on offer.

In addition to giving everyone access to some of the region's best golf courses at reduced prices, competitions have also been scheduled.

On June 19th, golf fans staying in Thailand hotels could head to the Star Dome Golf Club for the penultimate tournament in the festival.

While June 26th will see golfers teeing off for the final competitive event in this year's line up at the Chiang Mai Inthanon Golf Resort.

This course features 18 holes with a par of 72 and boasts a hilly layout to add to the challenge of competing on this green.

It also offers golfers views across Doi Inthanon, the highest peak in Thailand.
