Golfers from all over the world have been invited to compete at the inaugural four-day Dhara Dhevi Golf Challenge in Thailand's Chiang Mai.


CHIANG MAI, THAILAND, May 11, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The challenge, which will take local and international golfers onto the northern city's top three courses, is set for 9th to 13th May, 2010 and has been organised by the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi hotels in Chiang Mai.

"We are very excited to be staging the first Dhara Dhevi Golf Challenge and look forward to welcoming participating golfers," said the resort's general manager Greg Liddell.

It has all the makings of a wonderful sojourn," he added of the tournament that will see golfers play at the Alpine Golf Course, Chiang Mai Highlands Golf Course and the Royal Chiang Mai Golf Club.

Competitors will play 18 holes at each picturesque course, enjoy caddy services and round-trip transport from the resort's luxury Colonial Suite and play for a range of prizes.

Chiang Mai, which is the capital of the Chiang Mai province in north Thailand, is located 700km north of Bangkok and is famous for its mountainous elephant treks, which help to attract over 1 million tourists annually.
