SEVILLE, SPAIN, March 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Golf fans eager to combine their love of the sport with beautiful, sunny surroundings should head down to the Spanish Open this spring, which is being held in Seville this year.
There is a EUR2 million (GBP1.8 million) prize pot to be won at the sporting event, so there is likely to be some of the top players in the world in attendance at the Real Club de Golf in Seville.
Taking place from April 29th to May 2nd, sports enthusiasts will not have to travel far from their hotels in Seville since the venue is on the outskirts of the city, about 15 minutes away from the international airport.
As well as hosting this year's Spanish Open, it also provided the venue for the competition in 2008 and has the honour of having been designed by golfing legend Jose Marķa Olazabal.
"The extensive course designed with wide fairways sown with Bermuda grass, undulating Pencross greens, very well dotted by 90 spectacular bunkers and nine lakes covering more than three hectares," claimed the club.
Last year's winner of the Spanish Open was Thomas Levett, who took the title carding 270 at the PGA Golf Catalunya course.
Tickets will soon be available online by visiting the European Tour or Spanish Open websites.
Jessica Reading, head of marketing for LateRooms, commented: "Demand for the Spanish Open is always significant and we recommend that anyone considering attending should book their hoteles en Sevilla as early as possible."
