This was primarily due to the high cost of labor for sewing and stitching in the U.S.

TheLeatherGolfBag.com has solved this problem by doing all the design work in the U.S. and then outsourcing the sewing and bag fabrication to overseas facilities. Customers work with U.S. based designers until they approve the overall look and style of the bag. The design is then sent to an golf bag manufacturing facility in China.

In China the design is broken down into the pieces that will make up the golf bag. Each piece is cut and sewn individually. Pictures of the golf bag pieces are e-mailed back to the designer and customer for final approval. When all the pieces are approved the golf bag is shipped back to the customer.

Having the customer this involved in the process assures 100% customer satisfaction. If there is something a customer doesn't like when they see the individual golf bag pieces it can be corrected before the bag is finished and shipped.

There are almost no limits to the colors and design opportunities. Customers have created golf bags to advertise their businesses, to show their favorite rock band or as a gift for someone. These custom golf bags allow just about anyone to look like a tour pro on TV with their own sponsors.

Currently, custom golf bags are available in three tour sizes, 10.5, 9.5, and 8.5.
