TourResourceCenter.com Examines College Golf Scholarships
Tour Resource Center Identifies More than 80 Available Scholarships and Over $175,000 for Students

JACKSONVILLE, FL, October 22, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Part 3 of the College Golf Tutorial on http://tourresourcecenter.com/collegegolf2 focuses on the different scholarships available to students hoping to play golf in college.

For the last year, Tour Resource Center has done extensive research on money available to junior golfers looking to take their game to the college level. In this, the third part of the tutorial, Tour Resource Center discusses the way college golf coaches are likely to split the scholarship money made available to their teams; and identifies other financial resources available to juniors hoping to play golf in college.

The NCAA, which governs college athletics very closely, has made very few scholarships available to college golf teams, whether it's a Division I School or a Division II School (remember, Division III schools can only award Academic Scholarships). In fact, because of how few scholarships are available in college golf, many coaches are likely to dump all of the scholarship money into a pool, and then split it to hand out several partial scholarships.

However, as Tour Resource Center points out, students with golf games strong enough to be awarded any scholarship money, can also supplement the expense of attending school through various other methods as well, some of which are as simple as visiting your local supermarket, or dining at your favorite restaurant. The uPromise program (check out http://tourresourcecenter.com/collegegolf2 for more information) pays you back a percentage of every dollar you spend at certain businesses. And don't forget about other sources of financial aid such as Academic Aid (which you don't have to pay back), or a student loan (which you do have to pay back). Plus there are government run programs such as the 529, or some states actually have savings plans that allow you to start saving for your college tuition today - and lock in the current price of tuition as opposed to waiting and having to pay what the actual tuition will be when you finally enroll years from now.
