ECSMG Consulting, LLC announced their First Annual Newark Celebrity Golf Classic Weekend and Hip Hop Business Summit being held in Newark, New Jersey. The weekend of events will host an array of Celebrities in the areas of sports, music, film, as well as business executives.

/Golf News Articles/ - NEWARK, NJ, April 06, 2008 - The line-up of weekend events from August 21st thru August 24th, 2008 includes an exclusive welcome reception for celebrities, sponsors and invited guests being held at the Lounge at 1180, Newark Celebrity Golf Classic at Weequahic Park, Celebrity Golf Classic Awards at the Golf Club, where Newark Mayor Corey Booker will congratulate the golfers and awards will be presented, Welcome to Newark Dinner Party for Celebrities and Sponsors at a restaurant in the Ironbound section, a Hip Hop Business Summit at Newark Symphony Hall and a Golf Classic VIP "White" Party at The Spot on Commerce St.

Names confirmed include former NFL player Lance Smith, Actor Brian White (Stomp The Yard), Kurt Thomas, Eric Williams, Brevin Knight, Brandon Knight, Ira Bowman, Steffond Johnson, Randy Smith from the NBA, Publisher Karen Hunter, Def Jam Comedy Artist Queen Aishah, Newark Rapper Loose Cannon, Tammy Hammond, and many more. Event passes will be needed to attend the weekend of events.

The ECSMG Hip Hop Business Summit will take place on Saturday, August 23 at Symphony Hall on Saturday, August 23rd, from 9AM - 2PM. Industry Executives and Celebrities will talk to youth about the importance of growing up in urban areas. They will share the keys to "Hood Economics" and businesses that thrive in urban areas. Topics also include the skills needed to become successful in business, how to compete and win at an executive level, diversification of business in urban culture through music, clothing, movies, gaming and communications, Newark's re-development and more.
